Making Room for a Calmer Weekend

Lifestyle

A little planning—and leaving some time unplanned—can help create a more balanced weekend.

By Friday, there may be a list of errands waiting. Trying to fit every task into two days can leave little room to rest, so it helps to decide which jobs genuinely cannot wait.

Write down the essentials, such as groceries or a household task, and keep the list realistic. Leave some time open as well. A walk, a book, or making a meal you enjoy can be enough; rest does not have to involve a big plan.

There is no single routine that works for everyone. The useful part is finding a balance between responsibilities and time that feels like your own, then adjusting it as life changes.
